Doctor by the Universidad de Málaga with the thesis Lengua, política e identidad en Cataluña análisis de ideologías lingüísticas sobre el catalán en textos de los siglos XIX, XX y XXI 2023. Supervised by Dr. Francisco Manuel Carriscondo Esquivel.

Amina El-Founti Zizaoui holds a PhD in Hispanic Philology, with an International Doctorate distinction and cum laude honors awarded unanimously. She is currently a lecturer in the Area of Spanish Language at the University of Málaga. Previously, she served as a lecturer at the University of Huelva and as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology (University of Leipzig). She is the coordinator of the proyecto Lengua y Prensa and a member of the research group Hispanic Linguistic Historiography: Core and Peripheral Issues. She belongs to theAsociación de Estudios sobre Discurso y Sociedad (EDiSo) and is part of the Editorial Committee of the journal Lengcom and the Editorial Board of the journal Trasvases entre la literatura y el cine. She is currently a member of the research team of the project «El Diccionario Azcárate de terminología artística. Implementación en la red y explotación como herramienta fundamental para el conocimiento de la historia del léxico» (DAZCARTE) (PID2023-146172NB-I00). She has organized several academic events, such as the Seminario Permanente de Dialectología Hispánica (2023), the Jornadas malacitanas sobre diccionarios (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025), and the el Seminario de Salidas Profesionales Emergentes para lingüistas (2019). She has participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences. She has also taught writing courses, including the Advanced Course in Scientific and Advertising Writing, Editing, and Style (FGUMA) and the Writing Course for the Business Sector (K-Skills by UMA). As a science communicator, she has taken part in several editions of the European Researchers’ Night, as well as in the Science IES program and Café con Ciencia. She teaches courses in the area of Spanish Language in the BA programs in Hispanic Philology, Classical Philology, English Studies, and the double degree in Primary Education and English Studies. She also supervises undergraduate and master’s theses ((Máster Universitario en Gestión del Patrimonio Literario y Lingüístico Español).
